DD12 pe3.0 rescue disk does not work

Thread needs solution

DD12 ist installed as Trial version.

I followed this tutorial closely to create a WinPE3.0 based bootdisk and all went fine, no errors.

But if i boot this cd only the winpe starts up, wpeinit script takes a moment, i see the command for trueimage_starter.exe being executed but then nothing else happens, dd12 won't open.

Are winpe based disks only available in paid versions?

There may be a mistake in the trial version for the path to trueimage_starter.exe. Boot it again and enter cd \Program Files. Look for what DIR's are listed. Use cd \Program Files\Name where Name is the DIR shown until you find trueimage_starter.exe lised. Then enter trueimage_starter.exe. It should run.

Here the shell output

>

X:\windows\system32>wpeinit

X:\windows\system32>"X:\Program Files\Acronis\Test Program\trueimage_starter.exe

i think i'll try it with a english istall of win7 with english aik to create a new image

I see the problem. DiskDirector.exe is missing. Trueimage_starter.exe is looking for DiskDirector.exe which is missing. That's why nothing happens. DiskDirector.exe.manifest is also missing.

Your solution of using English to build the WinPE should work.

positive, creating the rescue media iso in a straight en-US environment produces a working pe3.0 disk, in a straight de-DE instalation it doesn't

EDIT: en-US: Win7U trial, not activated in a VM, PE3.0 AIK en-US, ADD12 trial en-US

de-DE: Win10pro, activated, PE3.0 AIK de-DE, ADD12 trial de-DE
