Disk Director 10 - Multiple C Drive Partitions
Hi All,
I am currently looking into the best way to create an 8 partition boot (2 x XP and 6 x 2000 Pro) the requirement is to have all partitions on the C Drive. I have gone through the process of creating the DDS boot CD and hiding the active partition and then creating the new partition and then finally installing the OS - which seems to work fine. But im fairly new to this software and was wondering if there is more of a streamline way of doing this..i.e though the windows installation of DDS.
Any advise would be much appreciated
Cheers

There are faster methods that can be used, but faster doesn't always mean easier. Depending on how comfortable you are with Windows, doing separate installs may take longer, but be easier for you. (I've duplicated on installed system with an "unknown" problem in it and ended up with the problem on all the duplicates -- not fun.)
Partitions can be copied with DD or imaged and restored using TI. Both methods require "tweaking" to work without problems.
To get a taste of it, you can read this thread and this threadL.
Since you're installing to a second drive, you'll probably want to use the Disk Order option in OSS for those entries to swap the drives for booting. In addition, if hiding partitions, you may need to use Force Hiding for the Windows 2000 entries (try it normally first, though).
