Disk Director 11 Adv Server and RAID controllers

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am planning to do some partition changes to a SBS 2003 server. The scenario is like this:

The server is an IBM xSeries 226 with an IBM ServeRAID-6i+ controller. It has three 72 GB disks configured as RAID 5. The available capasity is thus 144 GB, or rather 136.73 GB.
It is divived into two partition: Drive C: (the system partition) is about 20 GB, and partition D: is about 117 GB.

I thought of adding a new disk and create one partition spanning the whole disk. Then I would like to move all data from the currect D: partition to the new disk, delete the original D: partition, rename the new disk as D: and extend partition C: to use the whole original disk (136.73 GB).

Will Disk Director 11 Advanced Server be able to accomplish this? Will it be able to see and handle the RAID 5 volume? I've tried other partition tools in the past, and many of them cannot deal with RAID sets.

Thanks in advance!
