Disk Director 11 says 505.1GB, Windows 7 says 199GB... ...solved.

Thread needs solution

I've used DD11 to (i) shrink my D: partition, leaving unallocated space between it and my C: partition, and then (ii) re-size my C: partition to take up the additional space. My PC crashed when rebooting, and when I re-ran the process I got a "disk error" message during the DD11 messages during the re-boot. Having now re-booted again, Windows 7 shows the C: drive as still being 199GB, but DD11 shows it as being 505.1GB.

Any help much appreciated!

Edit:- A clarification. Windows Computer Folder shows it as 199GB. If I look at it in the Disk Management tool, it shows as 199GB in the list of drives, and 505.1GB in the graphic representation of the drives beneath it!

Edit #2:- After a trawl through the forum looking for similar problems, I followed what seemed to be the most relevant advice - resize the C: partition a little smaller, resize it back again, and hopefully Windows Computer Folder would catch up. So I did, and it has!
