Disk Director 12 (Build 12.0.96) installl interrupted.

Thread solved

I purchases several serial numbers for multiple computers (all Win10-64bit OS). DD12-0.96 is fully installed and operating one one computer. BUT when try tn install on my other computer, the install fails with a notice that the installation was interrupted, and to try install again. Tried again, still no go!

Note: for this version of DD12, I chose download only (no disk) as well as download update 12.0.96, saving copies on my hard  drive and USB.

Can you help me get an install?

No installation logs found on this computer. See attached file. that stopped the installation of both a trial version as well as latest 12.96 version

Hello Edward,

  • Such issues can be caused by corrupt installer, hence, make sure you downloaded the file completely, and ensured correct MD5 checksum
  • Disable antivirus software (Acronis Software: Making Acronis Products Compatible with Antivirus Software), and all other security software, which could block the installation.
  • Using Task Manager, make sure, that no other msiexec.exe operation is running at the same time - if it is the case, wait for it's completion, or stop the process manually, to proceed with Acronis installation

If the issue persists, please 

  • Check if there are any installation related error messages in the Windows event logs
  • If it is not the first attempt to install Acronis, make sure the previous installation was completely removed from the machine and try again, use Microsoft FixIt tool to remove the remnants.
