Disk Director 12 won't work withour True Image 2015 being installed

Thread needs solution

Seems that all the hooks get removed when True Image 2015 is uninstalled. Why?

I had to revert to True Image 2013 as the new version is totally unusable. When I uninstalled 2015 DD12 stopped working, it doesn't see any volumes.

I've logged numerous feedback tickets with them and it has gone into a black hole it seems.

Mike:

Sometimes the order of installation between TI and DD matters. Try reinstalling Disk Director 12 to see if that fixes it.

My Disk Director 12 won't work with True Image 2015 being installed either.
DD12 loads fine, takes all requests fine, but when I reboot, it just loads Windows 7 normally to the desktop, with no changes.
I reloaded DD12, and it is exactly the same. What else can I try, short of uninstalling True Image 2015. Thanks.

If you do operations in DD 12 that do not affect the system partition then a reboot should not be required and the operations should succeed.

An alternative for operations that require a reboot is to boot to the recovery version of DD 12 by making a recovery CD from the Bootable Media Builder application.

The issue here is probably related to the change Acronis made in TI 2015. I would suggest that you raise a support ticket with Acronis.

I don't know why I need to reboot because all of the changes I want to make are on my second hard drive. Windows is installed on a SSD.

OK. It worked fine from the bootable CD version. Good enough for now for the amount that I use it. Although the regular version worked fine before I had True Image 2015 as well.

I agree - I don't know why that would trigger a reboot.

Yeah, I formatted a USB drive, had to reboot to apply changes. It is an inconvenience, but whatever, 30 seconds and boots back up and completes the job.
