Disk Director cannot resize c:

Thread needs solution

I have Disk Director 10, build 2288. I installed a new, much larger, hard drive, and when I try to resize partition c: from Windows, I get a message that says it is an invalid partition size and either freezes up (requiring an esc) or it merely continues to completion and ends up with no changes. If I make a recovery disk, it errors out with the message that it cannot find the hard drive. I made another recovery disk from the iso file and it does the same thing.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thank you.

Hello Stuart and Gary!

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue and provide us with useful details! Gary, thank you for valuable question!

Most probable there was a glitch with drivers assigning. As Gary already mentioned, in such cases we advise to use the updated Bootable Media built on alternative kernel, which you can find directly in your account (please note that you need to have the product license registered to this account).

Please download the *.iso file from your account and burn it onto the CD or DVD. After that please boot from it and check whether the issue persist.

We would appreciate if you could kindly keep us posted regarding this case.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

The iso file I mentioned was taken from the latest info on build 2228. I am assuming that is the file I should use. Each build seems to have its own iso file.

I have discussed this problem at length with the technician who built the computer for me. Our guess is that drivers associated with the operation after it leaves Windows are not present or are incorrect.
