Disk Director - Check/Alignment SSD's

Thread needs solution

I am in the process of purchasing a PC, which has two SSD's (Solid State Drives) and I understand that alignment of Partitions, Sectors & Clusters is vital to performance and reliability.

I have Disk Director 10, and have recently downloaded version 11, but I cannot find any Wizard which will check whether my Partitions, Sectors & Clusters are correctly aligned, and if not make the appropriate corrections!

My plan is to back up my operating system, which is on SSD 1, onto SSD 2, using True Home Image 11, but before I do this (and afterwards) I would like to verify alignment!

Is there a facility/wizard in Disk Director, which will do this, which does this without too much know how being required!

The only way currently to check the alignment is to use the Disk Editor and see what sector number the MBR is located on.

When you say True Image 11 are you referring to TI 11 or TI 2011? If TI 2011 then this will restore correctly - TI 11 won't it is too old to know about 1MB sectors.

Hi Colin,

I was trying out the trial version of Disk Director 11, hoping to find a wizard which would allow me to check, and if necessary, adjust alignment!
