Disk Director Installation Error

Not sure this will help, but I am getting strange issues with installation/uninstallation of OSS on XP Pro x64 as well. Seems to be a somewhat tempramental piece of software fer sure.

Try this:

Reboot

Make sure that you turn your firewall software OFF.

Download Revo Uninstaller , install it (free), and run it, and see if it can find any stray files. It will do a thorough clean.

May want to do a registry scan (there are several excellent freeware utilities (TweakNow Powerpack comes to mind) and clean THAT up.

Reboot

Try it all again.

and/or do this, and try reinstalling...
