Disk Director support for Super Floppy?

Thread needs solution

I have 12 volumes on the system running x64 Win7
1 that is 16TB of hw raid 6
6 more that are internal .75 TB to 3TB (with the 3TB drives as GPT)
5 from external storage over a single eSATA link using Port multiplexing.

One of the internal (MBR) and one of the external (MBR) keep showing up as 'SuperFloppy' they both have had ChkDsk run on them with the F, R, B options and have no problems.
The external one has been formatted multiple times.

DiskPart doesn't recognize the disks at all, Disk console (MMC) barely recognizes and supports
Acronis recognizes but does not support operations on.

Given that the disks are the same, same enclosure, etc, what causes some to be "SuperFloppy" and barely supported while others are OK?

Hello Patrick,

thank you for your question.

The most probable reason for the described issue is an unvalid MBR on the affected disks.

The detailed description of the issue and suggested solutions can be found in this article.
