Disk Directore doesn't see one of my drives
Why won't disk director recognize my 'P' drive? I am attaching a screen shot of Disk Director with an overlay of Windows Defrag. Please note that Defrag sees my P drive but DD doesn't.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,
Windward,
Do you have any news on the issue? Were the operations proposed by Mudcrab able to fix the issue? What is the build number of the program? You can find out the build number by selecting "Help" option, "About".
If you have build #2160, then please do the following:
Download SnapAPI update, unpack the archive and run the SnapAPISetup.msi file. Go through the wizard screens and hit Proceed to install the update.
You will need to reboot the machine to finish the installation.
Please let me know if you use a higher build of Acronis Disk Director, I will send the respective file to you via PMs.
Anyway, please let us know the results.
Thank you.

Sorry I took so long. I couldn't get into the forum because I forgot my password... :-/
Anyway, my build # is 2,239 DD Version10.0.
I will now try the things Mudcrab proposed. It still doesn't see the drive. Perhaps it is because it isn't NTSF?
Thanks,
Jim

Aloha, sorry I took so long to answer. I lost my password to the forum and couldn't get onto it.
Let's see now...
What is 'Disk Management?' Is it another program? When I start Disk Director Version 10.0, Build 2,239 it still doesn't show one of my external drives which is my 'P' drive.
I don't have a DD CD I can boot from I don't think. I have the installation CD for the Director Suite. I used that to install it on my CPU.
I ran the chkdsk /f and it didn't show any errors.
Aloha and thanks for your response.

Disk Management is part of Windows. You can get to it by clicking on the Start button, right-clicking My Computer (or Computer) and then selecting Manage from the pop-up menu. Once Computer Management is running, click on Disk Management in the tree on the left side of the window. The drives in the computer will be shown on the right side.
The fact that the external drive is formatted as FAT32 shouldn't be the cause of the problem. However, I have seen that problem with FAT32 on flashdrives. The problem isn't really the format, but how DD is detecting the drive.
You can create a DD CD using Media Builder (installed with DD) or you can download the ISO file from your Acronis account and create a CD from that using any ISO capable burning program. Also, the installation CD may be bootable.

Hello,
Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
Windward,
Please try to plug the hard drive to another port. If you use an USB hub, please connect the hard drive directly. I am sending SnapAPI file to you via PMs, it can be applied to build #2239. Please install it and see if the issue remains.
Otherwise, please provide us with Acronis report and a screen shot of Disk management utility mentioned by Mudcrab.
1) Please download Acronis Report utility available here and run it, create a report and attach the file to your next post. Please compress the Acronis Report output file into an archive (e.g. with WinZip) and attach to your message by browsing for the archive.
This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.
2) Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management and create a screen shot.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
