Disk not showing up.

I had a low disk error in my D: drive so I decided to use Disk Director 11 ..
I merged some space of C: into D: .. it worked properly but yesterday I re installed windows 7 and on checking the computer I found my D: is not showing up..
I opened the disk director and it displayed my drive label but without any letter.
i tried to change the letter to E: as my DVD Drive had the D: letter ..
but after the completion of the process the drive still didn't get the letter E: .. I tried with other letters as well but the result remained the same..

Yup. but the disk is not showing up in Disk Management either..
I have 202 GB of very important files in that..
i tried through Acronis DD bootable media as well.. i managed to put a letter to the drive but then also its not showing up when I login normally..
Please help me recover my files..
