Disk Product and Windows 8.1

Thread needs solution

As I previewed my comments, I noticed that bb code for urls does not seem to be permitted. I am going to leave my code intact so that if someone wants to reference other pages within Acronis, the information is there.

After upgrading to Windows 8.1, I want to create an image of my o/s both an Acronis and Windows back-up software. More specifically, I want to backup EFI System Partition, C (System), and Recover (System).

When I use Windows, I get an error message as shown in the attachment and is included below:

There is not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy on the storae location. Make sure that, for all volumes to be backed up, the minimum required disk space for shadow copy creation is available. This applies to both the backup storage destination adn the volumes included in the backup. Minimum requirements: For volumes less than 500 megabytes, the minimum is 50 megabytes of free space. For vlumes more than 500 megabytes, the minimum is 320 megabytes of free space. Recommended: At least 1 gigabye of free disk space on each volume if volume size is more than 1 gigabye (0x80780119)

When searching through the archives, I found this [url=http://forum.acronis.com/forum/34991#comment-125146]post[/url]:

Please be informed, that we have released a new update of Acronis Disk Director:

[url=http://forum.acronis.com/forum/26873]Acronis Disk Director 11 Home Update 2 has been launched (build 2343)[/url].

Please find the information about Windows 8 compatibility in [url=http://forum.acronis.com/forum/37467]this post[/url]. You should check this post from time to time for updates.

Unfortunately "this post" goes nowhere.

Are either Acronis® Disk Director® 11 Home or Acronis® Disk Director® 11 Advanced Workstation able to address my concerns? If Acronis is unable to address my problem, do you have any other suggestions?
