Error on ADD11 startup Win7x64: "Failed to obtain actual information about the disk sub system" (Acronis Disk Director 11 Home)

 Hi,

I'm receiving the above error as attached when starting ADD11 in windows or via the WinPE boot media.

I note that several other users have reported this problem but as yet an explanation of the problem and therefore a solution has not been forthcoming.

Any help or advice on the this issue would be greatly appreciated.

What build of DD 11 are you using?

If TI is also installed, what build of TI and can TI see the drives properly?

Build of DD 11 is 11.0.2121

Yes, TI 2011 is also installed with the PP build is 6597. It can see the partitions and also the 2 disks when Switching to "Disk Mode" from the Disk Backup window.

The DD 11 issue has existed since first install a month or so ago. I've only recently purchased and installed TI 2011.

MudCrab - seems like I just figured out what the problem is.

My laptop has a 8Gb Transcend SSD Express Card installed and it appears that it is the culprit.

After removing the SSD I can now see the hard disks and partitions in DD.

Kinda weird that TI works with no problems though?
