External Seagate USB 3.0 has turned RAW

Thread needs solution

I've been having issues with an external USB Seagate drive Model 1dxap4-500 4 TB ever since I upgraded from Win7 to Win 10 (currently updated to Anniversary).  The machine would recognize the drive but them drop the connection.  It was never consistent.  The drive now does not connect and when I look at it in DD12, I see that it is RAW.  Any ideas what may have caused this?  I've seen some references to incompatibilies with Acronis DD12/True Image in the forums but that may have been for beta products.   I believe all my Acronis DD12 is updated and as is my TI 2016.   My True Image 2016 backups have also been having an issue and I'd like to recover what is on this drive.  Does DD12 help recover or is there another recommended product?

Appreciate any thoughts

Hello Joe,

If it is not possible to restore the drive from a backup created by Acronis True Image, you can use Acronis Recovery Expert tool built in Acronis Disk Director (p. 59 in the user guide).

Thank you,
