Hello Raymond,

Yes, you can resize GPT basic partitions with Acronis Disk Director 12. See more details about resizing operation at page 28 of the user guide http://www.acronis.com/en-us/download/docs/add12h/userguide/

Do not forget to create a backup copy of your data before making any changes to your disk partition structure. You can do that with either Windows built-in tools (see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/back-up-programs-system-settings-files and http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/create-a-system-repair-disc) or with Acronis True Image 2016 (a trial version would fit that purpose).

I am trying to resize and rearrange my partitions on 480 gb GPT ssd boot drive with Windows 10 64 bit, it has the usual two small partitions first, then the 'C' drive of 117 GB, then 2 x 450mb recovery partitions, then a unallocated partition for the rest of the drive. I attempted to get Disk director 12 to rearrange the 2x 450 mb partitions so that I could resize my C patition with the unallocated partition, the program showed me the new layout and asked to reboot. but after reboot nothing changed. I did this twice. Help!

Ed, I suggest you to create a bootable USB pendrive or CD/DVD from Tools menu, boot your computer from it and make the desired changes to your disk structure from there.

Before you make any changes to your disk, I also strongly recommend you creating a backup of your drive and a rescue bootable media just to be on the safe side. If anything goes wrong during moving/resizing partitions, the backup would allow you to revert all the changes and restore everything back. You can make a backup with Acronis True Image, for example.
