HDD not readable after resizing partition

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I tried to resize the partitions of my HDD, after I did this the drive could not be read any more. I attached the error report generated with the Acronis report tool. The pratice of doing was like described in http://kb.acronis.com/content/11407. Could anybody help, because all my data is lost now.

Hello Maxl,

Thank you for posting. I will do my best to help you with this issue.

It is possible it was caused by errors on your hard drive which were made worse by the resize operation. Can you run chkdsk with the /r parameter on both disks and send me a new Acronis report?

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hello,

when I used Acronis to resize the partitions only the damaged HDD was connected. When runnung chkdsk it is not possible to have access to the HDD, I get the message that it is unformated. See also th report file from ACRONIS attached to the first message.

The message I get, using chkdsk on the damaged HDD is "Der Typ des Datenträgers ist RAW. CHKDSK ist für RAW-Laufwerke nicht verfügbar." The Boot HDD which was not connected during resizing had no problems using chkdsk.

Best regards
