HELP! Why cannot I change the size of the system volume?

Thread needs solution

I just got the computer, the system is Windows Vista 64bit.

When I try to use the Acronis 10 Home to divide the C volume, it always fails.

What can I do to deal with that?

The following is the fail log.

Are you using the latest build of DD 10 (2288)?

Have you tried using the DD CD instead of starting the resize in Windows?

Are there any bad sectors on the partition (chkdsk would report this)?

Note: It's recommended to create an Entire Disk Image backup before making partitioning changes.
