How do I clone Windows 7 Partition, and make a dual boot system for an SSD?
I have Disk Director 11, and True Image Home 11, and I can't figure out how to clone a bootable Windows partition, and make a second BOOTABLE partition.
In True Image, I can clone a disk, but not a partition. In Disk Director, I can copy a volume(or partition), but it is not bootable.
I am adding a new SSD to my system, and I would like to just clone the Windows Partition on to the SSD, and have a dual boot system.
I am using Acronis OS Selector. Any help? Thanks.

It is version 2011. I haven't built the system yet, as it is going to be a new system. So it is hard to give a screenshot of the system in question.
So let me re ask the question. In a new system, what is the easiest way to clone a bootable partition, into another bootable partition,(one a HD, and one an SSD) once the first one is all up and running? Thanks.

I mainly wanted to see if Windows 7 was using the System Reserved partition. You would need to either use DD to copy the partition(s) and then do any necessary boot repairs or use TI to image the partition(s), restore the partition(s) to the new drive, and then do any boot repairs. Boot repairs may not be necessary. It really depends on the how the system is configured.
Since want to use both drives in the system you need to follow the cloning rule of not having both drives connected when you boot the clone for the first time.
As an example:
- Use TI to create an image of the Windows 7 partition (assuming no System Reserved partition) and save it to a USB drive.
- Shutdown the computer, disconnect the old drive, and connect the new drive.
- Boot to TI and restore the image from the USB drive. Do not restore the Disk signature.
- Boot to Windows on the new drive.
- Shutdown the computer, reconnect the old drive.
- Each Windows should boot properly by selecting that drive as the booting drive. Verify in Disk Management that the correct partition is being used for Boot, System. It should be the Windows partition on the booted drive. C: should also be assigned to the booted Windows partition.
