How to recover data from Simple/Spanned harddisk

Thread needs solution

Hello all. I have a 1TB harddisk from an old PC.
It shows in Acronis Disk Director 11 Home Trial version as
"Foreign Dynamic Disks (Disk MBR), Free space 430 GB, Simple/Spanned, NTFS, Healthy".

Available Operations is only "Delete volume"
Available Tools are Acronis Recovery Expert and Acronis Bootable Media Builder.

I have data in this harddisk that I need,
but I an unable to select the harddisk using the "Acronis Recovery Expert" tool.

Is ADD 11 Home the correct software for me?
Will I be able to copy data from the harddisk if I bought the Full version?
Thank you for your reply.

Hello Peter,

your disk was recognized as a foreign one, because it was moved from another machine. To access data on it you will need to add this disk to your system configuration. Please find an instruction in user guide  p.52 6.9 Importing foreign disks.

Acronis Recovery Expert is a tool that helps you to recover the partition table if any of your volumes were accidentaly deleted or damaged. So, I beleive it is not the thing you need for your purpose.

Please specify your goal so that I can find the best scenario for you.

Thank you.
