I can’t modify this disk?

Thread needs solution
I have a 500GB disk I took out of another computer, it was not hooked up and I’m not sure what operating system it was being used for.

When I select it I can’t access any of the disk management tools to create a volume, format, etc.

The software sees the disk, is it bad?? Its labeled “FOREIGN DYNAMIC DISKS (DISK2 (MBR))”

Heres a pic...........

On the screenshot you have selected the unallocated space next to C: . When you select the whole disk (not the unallocated space on the right side) there must be at least 'convert to basic' operation.

That’s just where I happened to have clicked before I took the screen shot. Nothing is available when I click on Disk 2.

(Unless there is some special way to get to it.)
