Increase size of C: drive on Disk 2 FROM free space from Disk 1 (both disk are in RAID)

Thread needs solution

Hi I have 2 x 1TB disk configured as RAID to which it gave me 2TB total space.

From Disk Director I can see

DISK 1

  • D: drive - 1.761GB (free space 838GB)

DISK 2

  • FAT16 EISA Configuration - 86.26MB
  • RECOVERY - 9.611 GB
  • OS C: drive - 53.32GB Windows 7

I would like to take 150GB from DISK 1 D: drive and put it in DISK 2 C: drive.

Can this be done using Acronis Disk Director? thank you.

Not in a normal configuration. Maybe if using Dynamic Disks.

Personally, you'd be better off upgrading Disk 2 to a larger drive.

What do you need the extra space for? You could create a JUNCTION on C: that points to a folder on D:. Or you could create a small partition on D: (say, 150GB) and mount that partition to a folder on C:. It doesn't increase the physical size of C:, but it does allow you to have more data on the "C:" drive.
