20 days left and still vaporware....

I TOO am eagerly awaiting the release of DD11!

Hmm I'm going for the 14th or 21st of December - why? Because apparently my planets are having a triple something or other in Chiron - so I think these will be lucky numbers!

Partition Manager if free. It has a clean, well done interface, and best of all, it works. I gave up on director because when booting up on disc the mouse does not work.

I too am ready for Disk Director 11. I just purchased a new Laptop that came with Windows 7 Home, 64-bit. I need to install my Boot Mgr where I can boot up 3 systems. I tried to use the bootable CD with DD 10 but it doesn't work right. I need Version 11. Whatever it costs, I'm sure it will be worth it. Maybe Acronis is going to give us a Christmas present. lol

Yeah, it's now the 22nd, and still no Disk Director 11. Acronis must be adding tons of great new features, or it would be out already, no? ;-)

As a sign of good faith Acronis should now be looking to at least refund all customers who have purchased within the last 3 months.

The news is there is no news :(

Yeah, it's looking like "December" is going to be "January." :-(

Hello all,

Unfortunately, Acronis Disk Director 11 is still in the production state and we can't tell you even approximate time frame when it'll be released. We're trying to make a really reliable and powerful software, so it's taking a much time.

We are really sorry for the delays. We'll keep you updated.

Thank you.

How about an update, Ilya? It's almost March now.

Hello twokatmew,

I regret to inform you that we still don't have even the estimated time frame when the new version of Acronis Disk Director will be released.

I'm really sorry for that.

Thank you.

can we trye a beta version of that product?

Emanuele De Amicis wrote:

I don't think there is a beta version available for anyone to try. Even if there is, being beta it may or may not be able to accomplish what you want at this moment without causing a problem.

Hello Ilya,

I'm waiting urgently for a DiscDirector-Version including the OS-Selector that's supporting the new Windows 7. Time is going on and the date had been public a long time ago, that Windows 7 appears in the market. Long enough before!

Reading all the postings before, I could have the slight feeling of Acronis-Developement-Department still is sleeping well. It's highly time for awakening. Otherwise one must search and buy an other partitioning software.

Nowadays in the world of IT it's true: waiting too long time causes getting on the loosers side.

Friendly greetings.

How does one go about getting your money back from this company - I purchased diskdirector - but it has never worked for me as I purchased at the same time as installing windows 7.

Has anyone ever received their money back from Acronis??

If so I would be please to hear how it was acheived

I would like to think they are a company with some substance.

Lets see........................if they are

Anthony,

You can temporarily use the DD rescue CD, assuming of course you have a Vista or XP system to burn one on.

You can use the CD because the disk driver of DD 10 is not compatible with windows vista/7.

if you boot from cd your operating system doesn't load the DD disk driver and you can really do partition operations without problems.

if you use DD 10 into vista or 7 (both not supported OS) you can damage you partitions or lose data.

What`s about drivers for Intel Chipset`s with ICH9 or ICH10 Harddisk-Controllers. Even if you use Acronis DD 10 Boot-CD for manage your Harddisks you can`t do this !!!
" No Harddisks found " is the only message if there are only Disks attached to ICH-xx Controllers.
And this, even the Chipset are on Market since many Years. !!!
Miserable !!!

You can use a BartPE disk and use every driver you want.

and

Now it's early MARCH 2010!!!!!

Nuff Said................

It could be a good idea if someone from Acronis tells what they are doing. DD10 alpa, beta6, RC2 and so on. In the moment it is my daily job to control what has happened(or not). $MS gave us betas and rc's for testing in the wild.
THKS

If there are Beta`s or ReleaseCandidates of DD11...
why don`t give Acronis them to users which have problems with DD10 and their Hardware ?
I really want to test Beta`s and i really know that Beta or RC are not stable and not for secure use.!

This is beyond a joke! It would seem that Windows 8 will have been launched and STILL no new version! I believe Acronis are stringing us (their "valued" customers) along! Perhaps there is no new version in production? Acronis should be more forthcoming with the truth!

Acronis: For what it's worth, you have until the END OF MARCH 2010 to make some kind of substantial announcement regarding your Disk Director product, otherwise you will lose my business permanently! Such a shame since I held your products in such high esteem - especially Acronis True Image. Not that you probably care anyway!

Cheers,

Jason.

It's December 2009, where is Disk Director 11?
It's January 2010, where is Disk Director 11?
It's February 2010, where is Disk Director 11?
It's March 2010, where is Disk Director 11?

It's 2012, where is Disk Director 11? ( Never mind the world ends in the fall ) ...

Hello all,

According to the information I have Acronis Disk Director 11 is in production and its Beta version should be available in the nearest future. I'm afraid I cannot provide more exact ETA at the moment.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Andrey.

Hello Andrey,
is there a new date for release of Acronis TI 11 ?
I need it very urgend.
Thanks

Hello Joachim,

Unfortunately, we still don't have an estimate time frame for the new release of the next version of Acronis Disk Director, we are really sorry for that.

However, we've already started a public beta-testing of Acronis Disk Director 11. If you want to participate in this program, please visit this link.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

No Disk Director 11 six months on and now Acronis have the cheek to ask me to complete a survey

These people want to get real -

Deliver a product or refund the customers money

It would appear they dont want to do either

Hello Anthony,

Thank you for your feedback, you can be sure it will be delivered to appropriate people in Acronis.

I have reviewed your purchase information and I'm afraid we cannot refund your purchase as it was made too long ago and Acronis Disc Director 10 Suite never supposed to support Windows 7 as there was a need to completely rework program engine for that. Besides that I could not find any refund requests from you in our tracking system as well.

I can suggest you to participate in Acronis Disk Director 11 Beta program which is currently open. If you are interested in our new product testing you can subscribe here. Please find more information on the program itself and the new version of Acronis Disc Director here.

Thanks,

Andrey

Good Morning Andrey,

Does the Beta version contain OS Selector as well?

For me OSS is over 70% of the reason I use DD10.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hello Jerry,

It is strange to see this question from you, taking into account that you are participating in Beta testing quite actively.

Anyway, as you certainly aware Acronis did not plan to add OS Selector to the new version, and I do not have any information if this decision will be changed at the moment. Since this is a major change in product functionality which will require quite some time and efforts to implement I doubt it is possible to include OS Selector into the product on this stage. However I can assure you that your (customers') voice was heard and Product Management together with Development did notice your active discussion on this subject in Beta forums.

Thanks,
Andrey

Good morning, Andrey

I also use OS Selector in DDS 10. As with Jerry, that is the main reason (and the most important to me) I purchased the product. I use this especially because I upgraded to Vista from XP Pro, and needed both versions. I recently (last weekend) purchased and installed Win 7 Pro as another OS to boot. I had to reformat my HDs to start over and used DD10 for partitioning, but not OSS at that time. I am using Win 7 Pro's bootmanager at this time. I tried activating OSS to use, but everytime I try installing it, it crashes (AppName: osselectorsetup.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.2288). It even crashes when I try to uninstall it.

I am very interested in being a beta tester and will use the link above to get DSS 11. Hopefully it will let me start using OSS again. Hopefully DSS11 will have OSS and it will once again allow me to use your OSS! Please put my "voice" is as well. I cannot see how it would be worth $$$ to buy the DSS11 without the OSS included. That would mean I'd have to find another product from another company to satisfy my needs!

PS, I would be willing to erase everything and start over from scratch just to get OSS! I've searched the forums, but cannot find something to help me with that installation problem. Could you point me to something? I must be typing the wrong search phrases in!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chalmers

Oh, No!
The beta testing has ended. I should have kept up with the forums so that I knew about this earlier!

Any way, hope to hear from you shortly as to where I might find help.

Sincerely
Chalmers

Hello Chalmers,

Thanks for your feedback.

I have forwarded request regarding OSS availability in new version of Acronis Disc Director to our Product Management. Let's see what they respond. I will keep you posted.

The thread which should help you with current OSS set up is here.

I think you can ping MudCrab if you have any difficulties with this setup. Feel free to post in that thread as well. BTW it is sticky in Acronis Disc Director section, so you should not have problems locating it.

Let me know if I can help you with something else.

Andrey.

Hello Chalmers,

I have confirmed with our Product Management Team.
OS Selector will be added to Acronis Disk Director 11.
We are going to place official announcement shortly.

Andrey.

Actually, ADD11 Home beta is still ongoing. You can register at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/beta.html

Thanks, Sergey.

When I follow your link to sign up to be a Beta Tester, I still receive this message:

"The beta program has expired and no longer available."

I'd like to try it, if you could check why I am unable to sign up.

Thanks, Again.
Chalmers

I came across the same problem. I have tried it many times, but still receive the following message:

"The beta program has expired and no longer available."

How to download 11 home beta?

I've just tried the link and it works for me.

After clicking on the 'Become a beta tester' link, I am then asked to sign into my account, and hey presto the download link is available.

Have you tried emptying the browser cache? It might be reloading an old page.

Not sure if it needs cookies enabled or not.

I'm frustrated for 6 months now - don't understand why it took such a looooong time to come out with a version compatible for Win 7 ...

I've spent already some hours searching for another product ...

Finally, it's good news that the wait has an end now and Version 11 will come out soon.

Thanks.

By the way:

You guys are working for months on Disk Director 11 ..., but why isn't there any information written about that on your homepage? That would have helped me a lot as I didn't know about this forum for months (up to today!). So I had NO information until today. -> Frustrating.

Hello Josef,

I apologize  for such a delay with Windows 7 support.

The problem with Acronis Disc Director 10 supporting this OS was that it required complete reworking of its architecture. Which in fact means developing new product engine.

Regarding your second concern - we do have information about new version of the product here. Acronis Disc Director has stepped into Beta testing faze quite some time ago and we announced it right away. If you would like to participate in the testing and take a look at our new product before anyone else - feel free to follow the link and register for Beta programs.

Thanks,

Andrey.

finally, a public Beeetaaaaaaaaa! months and months and months and months. this is like receiving a Christmas present in the middle of the following summer!

I was looking it up once in a while, half expecting to find an article saying "Acronis bankrupt. Insuffiscient funds to finish software development". I'm reassured now. I really need your new OS Selector.

anyway, thank you for this beta

I hope some days ealier as decembre ;-)

I hope so too - that program is a must have. DD10 crashed the living heck out of Windows 7 when I installed it and I have been waiting ever since for the upgrade...
