Keeps Rebooting After Partition Resizing

Thread needs solution

Windows XP SP3
Acronis Disk Director 2011 Home

I have a laptop with a single hard drive divided into two NTFS partitions... C: (10GB - VERY full)) and D: (35GB - very little data).

I have attempted to resize logical drive D: using DD to take it down to just 5GB, then extend logical drive C: over the freed up 30GB. I selected both actions and clicked the Comit button.

The system rebooted and performed four actions in DOS mode. Now the system is in a never ending reboot cycle. It starts to load, the Windows start-up screen shows, then almost immediately goes into another reboot.

Can you help please?

Is anything showing during the booting process that looks like DD checking something?

Is Windows showing a BSOD? It may flash this blue screen and error message very quickly since auto-reboot is the default.

Have you tried booting to the Last Known Good Configuration?
