Lacking volumes after partition resize of system partition DD10 Win 7

Thread needs solution

The problem occurs at first after clone of a Win 7 double boot system on a notebook with 2 HDDs (second HDD only with 2 data partitions).

The 2d Win 7 starts correct, the first with lacking volumes of the first HDD and then with bluescreen after 2d start after clone with TI 2013 WD Edition.

Only with a freeware HDD Raw Copy clone is working.

But when I resize partition size of system partition reducing size of the last data partition on the HDD I get the same effect:
lacking volumes despite C:\ in both systems Win 7 1 and Win 7 2 in double boot system.
Accidentally in the case of the 2d Win 7 they come back but not in the main Win 7 with primary and active partition.

The must be a problem in mounting volumes in connection with partition table or partition boot record (PBR similar to MBR).

Nobody knows how and why and the underlying process !
The partition table is correct also in size, but it gets no letter and there is no access,
and in windows volume management comes: snap in not valid,
no access to volume, restart or renew, but no effect !

This issue concerns the basics of windows 7 start in connection with partition table and mounting volumes

but I did not get any information about that in internet or some specialists in Germany !

Thanks !

Hello,

As far as I see, you use version 10 of Acronis Disk Director.

As per User Guide, Windows 7 is not supported operating system.

Actual version of Acronis Disk Director is 12.

Best regards.

May be, but it works since years without problems.

This answer is not very useful because there is no analysis of the problem except that remark of compatibility.

The problem was, just after a clone with TI,

lacking volune.inf and volume.snap at first Win 7, can be found in a doubleboot on the 2. Win 7,

and in the case of 2. Win 7 lacking partitonletters (after clone with TI).

The reason why after partiton resize this does not work remains unclear. Perhaps a defect in frist Win 7 sometimes not finding some drivers.
