Loptop rendered unbootable during installation of OS Selector.
I purchased a multi license edition of Acronis Disk Director 11 Home. I installed Disk Director on my laptop, Dell Inspiron 17R N7110, with 6 gig memory. After installation a bootable disk was created, then I started to install OS Selector. During installation of this component the program initiated a reboot. The reboot gave the following message:
Starting Acronis Loader…
Acronis Loader: No configuration file present.
Press to reboot…
Pressing enter will only repeat the above message; pressing one more time will present the message a third time and freezes the system.
Using the bootable disk created by DD will yield the same results. It seems that the code that generates the message was written into the boot loader kernel in the pc.
Has any one run into this problem and how can I reclaim my pc?
