Moving EFI System Partition by Acronis Disk Director not possible

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I upgraded my Window 10 now to 1803. After installation I had a new partition with drive letter J at the beginning opf my system disk (I suppose there is a recoverey partition). Because I do not use it I deleted the partition. But now I have a gap of 485 MB in the beginning of my disk, then follows the EFI system partition, the the OS partition. I tried to move the EFI system partition on the beginning of my disk that i can increase a little bit the OS partition. To do that with Acronis Disk Director it is not possible neither with the installed version nor with the boot CD version. I only can copy it but not as a bootable partition. Does anybody know what top do?

Regards

Klaus

Hello Klaus,

Thank you for your posting! First of all, I'd strongly recommend creating a full backup of your system prior any changes to be on the safe side.

Then could you please attach a couple of screenshots\photos of your actions, so that we can have better understanding of the situation?

Thank you in advance!

Same problem. The EFI system partition is not available for moving. There is not command in the context menu.

Hi! Please attach a couple of screenshots of your disk layout and where exactly the option is not displayed. It should be available in the following menu under Resize volume https://kb.acronis.com/system/files/content/2010/06/11407/shrink2.png

Hi, I upgraded to Windows 10 20H2 and had some issues along the way. After installation, I seem to have ended up with 451MB of unallocated space at the beginning of the disk, followed by 4 EFI system partitions (100 MB each), my C: Drive partition,  followed by 505 MB Unknown parttition and my F: Drive (Documents/Data). Disk Director Screenshot attached.

Can I use Disk Director 12.5 to reconfigure my disk - how can I find out know which EFI partitions can be deleted.
