Multi-boot XP, Vista, Win7 using a TI image of Vista

Thread needs solution

I have a laptop running Vista Home Premium 32 bit, with TI 2009 build 9615 and DD build 2160. I have a number of logical partitions too (M-music, P-photos etc) What I want to achive is a multiboot with XP, Vista and Win7 on a new bigger disk. But I need to duplicate/copy the existing Vista partition as my Win7 upgrade is an in-situ upgrade and I can't boot from the DVD I created (it really is an upgrade - very cheap educational deal). I have tried copying the Vista C but and trying to use OSS to sort it out but to no avail. I even corrupted the drive by deleting the wrong OS entry... I have managed to format the disk and want to start a fresh. Can anybody suggest a method using my existing C drive Vista image please? Thanks in advance, DOS MAN (started on v2.11)

Hello DOSMan,

Thank you for your post. I will do my best to help you.

I would recommend to use Acronis True Image 2009 Home bootable media to create a backup of your OSs and then restore them to a new hard drive and re-size at the same time.

Since Acronis Disk Director does not support Windows 7, I would suggest to use your Windows 7 boot manager to organize your different operating systems.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you.
