With Acronis offering Disk Director 11 for $9.99 and release 2 of the product being just shy of two years old since its release, is a new release coming or are they killing the product?

I noticed that, too. But don't you think that they could *both* release a new version *and* kill the product?? ;-) (With a different interpretation of "killing." A release a few years ago "killed" True Image for my purposes.)

More seriously, I'm very likely to upgrade if they release a version with better GPT support in the home version (or equivalent if product is re-leveled... 3TB drives are inexpensive enough these days) and which is more reliably bootable on UEFI systems. I've been getting pretty good at GParted over the past year, but I do still like having the GUI and they way you can chain together a whole series of operations in DD before committing.

Without a "buy now and get a free upgrade to 2014" sort of campaign, you do have to wonder what their plans are.
