no cluster resize

Thread needs solution

using dd-11, build 11.0.2343
converted xp-pro sp3 to ntfs--all 4 drives letters-(c d e f) are all over 50% free
it converted the cluster size to the default of 512kb--OK
using dd 11, went to resize the 1st drive C: to 4 KB, it said it had to reboot, it went to xp dos mode after reboot to resize the cluster--
it then gave errors (401-402-703-12310-1036-8) with statements like my file system was corrupt, which it is not, could not perform the action, etc etc.

so my question is, anybody have a clue with whats wrong with this program, since I know my file system is not corrupt (how would I be using it to write this), that's not the only reason though that I know my file system is not bad, I don't have a virus, malware etc. etc., or anything else out of the strange world on my machine?

anybody have a clue--I read this was a good program--right now I think I wasted my money

In case you aren't aware of this, it's highly recommended to create an Entire Disk Image of the drive before making these types of changes. This is true regardless of the software used for the procedures.

Have you tried booting to the DD CD instead of doing it from Windows?

Did you run chkdsk /f on the C: partition? Corruption doesn't always cause any visible problems.
