OS Selector and SATA OPtical Drive
So I decided to use OS Selector to multi-boot several OS's. It wasn't until I spent a couple of hours preparing my drive (backing up files, resizing etc.) that I found out OS Selector does not support SATA Optical drives - not sure why it doesn't support hardware that's been out for many years but anyway, I don't have the option to change my SATA controller from AHCI to legacy in the bios so I figured I would pop in a pci controller card that I have that has an ide connector on it. However, OS Selector does not detect the ide dvd drive connected to the ide pci adapter either.
So now I am at a loss as to what to try next. Is there any way of using OS Selector with SATA Optical drives? Has anyone figured out a work-around besides changing bios settings to legacy mode? Will OS Selector ever support SATA Optical drives? This seem like something they would want to make a high priority as the ide interface is a dying technology and switching SATA controllers to legacy mode may work for some systems but not all and doing so will make installing an OS incredibly slow in this mode.
The OS's I need to install are XP, 7, Linux, and possibly '98. I currently have Windows 7 installed.
Any help as to how I can solve this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I have the same problem and am not able to use OS Selector as I have a SATA CD drive. I tried to install in XP manually but it corrupted my win 7.
It would be helpful if Acronis could publish a workaround procedure for installing OS manually.
Thanks
