OS Selector Auto Update
Have OS Selector installed from DDS 10. Have two WIN7 partitions running, i know "why" i just do :). Both are boot and system and as far as i know ignore each other!! The only problem is OS Selector auto detects another OS, adding it the the boot menu list , using one of my OS's as boot and other as system. I keep deleting it BUT. So the question is can i turn auto detect off and use the wizzard when needed?

Thanks and sry for late reply. Yes to your question. Checking on BCD entries now.
Update
Ok all looks good in BCD. Hiding the entry does not really hide it. It is still listed on the boot menu but under a new header. Others can still click on it. Still surfing and will still check this site or return with new insight on this problem.

Check the View menu in OSS and make sure the Show Hidden option is not selected. The hidden entries shouldn't be displayed unless you want them displayed.

OMG did i miss that one. Thanks MudCrab. Still think you should have a choice on boot up detection or not.

I agree with you and I've told Acronis this (as have others). However, OSS is extremely low priority to them so I doubt that "enhancement" will be forthcoming.

Update......Hiding does not seem to work. I say seem because I can not think of anything I'm doing to cause OSS to reupdate the boot menu. Same OS hiddin allready? Hmm.....will not happen every boot?
Oh well Win7 makes up for any OSS short comings.

You're not doing anything to cause it. OSS just does it. I never did figure out why. There have been cases (mostly with Linux) where it detects an already detected/added OS on every boot-up.
