OS Selector Messed up boot on first install

Thread needs solution

I just got Disk Director 11 and I installed the OS Selector because my laptop was dual-booting ubuntu linux and windows 7. When I restarted my computer, the boot screen kept flickering and restarting, and It was never able to actually go into the OS Selector program. Basically, I have no way of booting into either one of my operating systems. I dont know what to do. I want to boot into safe mode (if this would help me uninstall it) or at least my windows 7 so I can uninstall the program. How do I disable the OS Selector from starting up again? I have the windows 7 cd and my ubuntu cd. I dont want to do a clean format because of this issue. Please help me, i really need to access all my data, and I dont want to lose any!!!!!

You should be able to boot to the Windows 7 DVD, enter Repair mode, start the Command Prompt, and run bootrec /fixmbr to fix the MBR. This would return booting to Windows 7 (assuming the Windows booting partition is Active).

Another option (if you included the OSS programs on the DD CD) is to boot the DD CD and and uninstall OSS. Yet another option would be to repair/reinstall GRUB. This can be done from the Ubuntu CD.
