OS selector partition questions

Thread needs solution

I chose to install OSS in its own partition. I have a few questions about the OSS partition.

1) What is the recommended size for the OSS partition.
2) Will OSS continue to find its files if I resize ( or even move ) the OSS partition.
3) Is OSS affected if I hide the OSS partitition when booting to an OS ?

Thanks !

The partition can be small (say 150-200MB). It can also be a data partition (doesn't need to be dedicated). If the partition is too small OSS won't install to it.

If you move the OSS partition I'm pretty sure you would need to reactivate it so it can find its files.

As far as I know, hiding the OSS partition shouldn't cause any problems. I know it works okay when it's an OS partition and I don't see why it wouldn't work on a non-OS partition.

I would recommend placing the partition where it shouldn't need to be bothered or moved (like at the very start or end of a drive). You should also make sure the partition is excluded from being defragmented so the OSS files don't get moved around (OSS would need to be reactivated if they do).
