Ok i am new to this, but when i purchased my computer, the moron who built it partitioned my C: drive so that it had no room to install new programs. I have dramas every time i try to install some thing new. I have been installing the few that will allow me to change the install directory to another drive.

I have tried to merge the partitioned disk drive into one part, but when the computer restarts, and loads the Acronis utility, it pauses on the final action and wont complete the disk merge.

What am i doing wrong?

Can you post a screenshot of what DD shows?

Do you have a current Entire Disk Image backup of the drive? It's recommended that you create one before making partitioning changes.

I would avoid using the Merge feature. It can cause serious data loss. Also, any programs installed on the other partition will not work after the Merge -- they will need to be reinstalled.
