I have Windows Vista.
I have a partition disk by Acronis Disk Director 10.??
When I start up I get the "Start Acronis loader then Rescue Media" Sceen to choose from which Operating system. I don't want this screen but I want to go directly to Windows as I have done in the past.
I used to go right to windows when I turned everything on and the computer would come on and go to Windows directly.
I have uninstalled all of Acrronis, taken out all of Acronis from the registry run the acronis uninstall rrogram. and rinstalled Acronis Disk director ONLY. not True Image Home.

When you installed DD did you also install OSS? If so, you should just need to uninstall OSS. If OSS is not installed you can try repairing the MBR.
Otherwise, if the "Rescue Media" screen is not OSS and there is only one OS installed, make sure you're not unknowningly booting a CD or flash drive.

I purchased the Acronis software Disk Director 11 Home a few days ago and installed in on my new EON desktop which runs M/S Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Following installation I then activated/installed a sub programme named OS Selector contained on the same disk. I then closed down my computer and when attempting to re-boot some time later, I received the message 'Starting Acronis Loader' followed by the message 'No configuration file present' followed by 'Press enter to re-boot'. Upon pressing enter, exactly the same message appears. I have tried booting up many times with the same result. Contacting the Acronis support line I was advised to download the bootable media ADD11H_en.iso for DD and try booting up from a cd copy of this program. Again to no avail.
I have tried running the Windows 7 O/S disk repair function but again, without success.
Anybody had the same problem and discovered how to fix?

Tim:
If you replace the Master Boot Record on the disk it should then boot directly into Windows. Boot from the Windows 7 installation CD, or repair CD and go to a command prompt. Use the BootRec command to replace the MBR:
Bootrec /FixMbr

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your suggested resolution to my problem. I think that I must either have a corrupt Windows 7 Home Premium O/S disk or the actual O/S installed by the people who assembled the machine, EON Computers trading as Microtel Corporation in Melbourne, and supplied the tower and the O/S installation disk to the vendor, Harvey Norman, have actually installed some other version of Windows 7. I say this because when I boot up from the supplied disk and attempt to go into the repair option, I receive a message saying that the disk is not compatible with the installed O/S. When I bought the machine in December 2012, I also purchased a product care plan from Harvey Norman. at a cost of $299 and covering the computer for 3 years. I am currently awaiting advice from the operator of this service as to the next step they require me to take toward getting the computer repaired/replaced. Rather an involved situation I'm afraid and one that has left me most unhappy with all involved. At this time I have a completely disabled computer and have maybe irrevocably lost all of my files etc. as I had not had the opportunity to do a complete back up. This all simply due to my loading the Disk Director program according to the installation instructions given.
