Quick review of Strategy for Disk Director

Thread needs solution

I bought DD ver 10 and my intent is to take my XP Pro system
with a 32 GB hard drive and I have installed a 2nd hard drive
of 137GB. I plan to copy the entire active primary partition
onto the new drive and create four more logical drive partitions
on the new hard drive. I will then remove the existing
Smaller old drive and boot off the new drive and take
advantage of the new space.
This is all possible with DiskDirector isnt it ?

In a nutshell all I am really doing is upgrading
from a 32 gb disk to a 237gb disk.

Just want to make sure.

I have True Image 9.0 if I need it but I dont think I will.
In fact I think I bought the DD because the True Image
would not do all that I wanted.

Thanks

Scott, I recently bought a 350GB HDD to replace my 120GB one. On what was the current 120 GB I had several partitions and so all I wanted to do was move everything onto the new drive, and have that as the system. So a similar situation. I still have an old system by the way running XP and IDE drives.

I have ABS2010 and DD10 but didn't need to use DD10 at all to do the switch. I just did a clone using True Image and then changed the switch settings on the drives so that the new one became the master and the old one the slave (while the PC was switched off of course). Rebooted and hey presto a new bigger HDD0!! Then I used DD10 to alter the partion sizes as I wanted them, reformatted the HDD1 and now use that as a backup drive. Perfect.
