Recovered Volume

Thread needs solution

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if someone can guide me as I can't seem to find the answers yet (still searching the forum).  Basically, I used DD12 to recover a volume but not sure what is the next step.  For example, I can see the partition but unable to access it, even if I assign a drive letter to it.

So, my thought is, DD12 recovered the volume but now I need to use another program to uncover the files within the partition like Revive, is that correct or am I skipping a step within DD12?

One last note, I downloaded a demo version of Revive and ran a detailed scan that completed but it won't let me proceed to the "NEXT" step.  I am not sure if there is something wrong with the scan/program or because it's a demo version, it's waiting for me to purchase it.  No messages popped up stating that either.

I attached two screenshots, hopefully that will help.

Thanks in advance.

Glenn

Hello Glenn,

thank you for your posting! If you don't have a backup of this volume to recover from, I'd check the solutions offered in the following article. To make future recoveries easier, the best option would be to regularly generate a full image backup of your system and store on an external hard drive.
