Reloading Disk Director (and true Image) on a new Win 7 machine - HOW?
I currently have an XP machine with older versions of DD and Trueimage. I have recently upgraded these to the latest versions. I therefore have the original install files with the original serials, AND the new upgrade installs with their new serials (different to the originals).
I intend to buy a new Win & machine and therefore will need to reinstall DD and TI on the new machine.
My question:-
1) How do I do this?
2) Can I take the upgrade files and new serials and instal from them ONLY, or will I have to install the original software and then the upgrades (bearing in mind that when installing upgrade it asks for both the new serial and the original)?
A little "How to" from Acronis would be helpful!

Peter,
Just install the upgrades. There's no need to install the old versions first. The installer knows which type it is and asks for the appropriate serial numbers. In many cases, especially when coming from older versions and moving to Windows 7, the older versions won't install correctly (or shouldn't be installed) since they don't support Windows 7.

Thanks, MudCrab.
That's a lot simpler than I thought. Just need the Win 7 box delivered now!

The new box (i7, W7 Ultimate) eventually turned up, and I have installed my updated TI and DD packages.
Something to watch out for. When registering both pieces of software, you are asked to put in the new long registration codes AND the old ones; although of course the old superseded programs for both were on a completely different machine! Luckily I'd downloaded the serial txt file from Acronis and had them readily to hand.
