Replacing Existing Hard Drive - Need Adive

Thread needs solution

I just purchased Acronis Disk Director 2011 Home. Can this software product be used to clone existing hard drive ? Existing hard drive is failing. I'm planning to replace it with new, larger drive. My operating system is Windows XP, SP 3.

Existing drive is my "C:\" drive...I'd like to keep this designation on new drive.

Has anyone been thru changeout of old hard drive with new, larger drive using Disk Director ?

Can you offer any advice / step me thru process.\ ? Did I buy the correct software for what I want to accomplish ?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi William, you will need Acronis True Image to clone your drive. The process is quite straight forward and explained in the manual or help but if you require further assistance then we can help further.

bin,

Though TI is usually used for cloning, Acronis has added that capability to DD 11. Either can be used.
