Rescue Media question

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum and maybe my question was answered before, but I can't find it and hope it's OK to ask. Yesterday I bought Acronis Disk Director Suite as I thought it's the successor of Acronis Partition Magic. My problem is that I don't need all the stuff that comes with Disk Director, but only need a bootable CD from which I can create and change partition without the need of having Disk Director installed (or even Windows). With Partition Magic it was easily possible to create such a CD. Disk Director offers me to burn a Rescue Media. I burned it and uninstalled DD afterwards. Trying to use this CD ended up showing an Acronis Loader and that's it. My computer just rebooted and nothing more. So my questions is, if it's still possible to create a media that is able to do what I want WITHOUT Disk Director installed on HD. As I said, I don't need any other function of it.

Max,

If you've registered DD in your Acronis account, you can download the updated ISO file from there. It may contain the drivers necessary for you system. Using this method doesn't require you to install DD since you can use the ISO file.

Note that the downloaded ISO doesn't contain the Safe Mode version of DD. If you need it, you'll have to install DD and create a DD CD using the Media Builder program that includes it.
