Resizing a partition without having to restart server 2008?

Thread needs solution

In Disk Director 10 on a 2003 server as long as it is not the boot drive you can resize a partion without having to restart the server, why is it in Disk Director 11 advanced server on a 2008 server is it now required to restart for every operation that is commited? The ability to resize without restarting was a very handy feature for a server as it will allow you to make changes without any disruption for the users. Can anyone tell my why that changed in 11? Or is it 2008 server that is the reason?

Just curious

Are you using the latest build of DDA (12077)?

I'm not seeing that problem in Windows 7 with DDA 12077. I did see that problem with some of the earlier builds of the newer DD versions.
