Serious Flaw in Acronis Disk Director 12.0.3223 Main HDD "not formatted" Win_8.1
As an IT Service Desk Technical Analyst thankfully I know that what Acronis Disk Director 12 Build is telling me is incorrect. However, a complete novice and/or somebody who is new to computers/tablets would automatically assume that what Acronis was advising them was correct when in fact... The truth of the matter is... Acronis Disk Director Build 12.0.3223 is giving users the wrong information to their End Users.
There is no doubt in my mind that Acronis must know about this flaw and yet nothing has been done about the error and that the initial build hasn't changed since it was first released in 2014. If a novice of somebody who has a little knowledge of computer/tablets running Windows 8.0/8.1 they would look upon this as being correct. Although it would be an anatomical impossibility to format a primary HDD which is running your OS. Nevertheless, it should not be showing as "Not Formatted" it should be detecting that the HDD has been formatted and is the primary partition in which the OS is installed on. Which it is...?
Out of curiosity I tried to format the Maid HDD, and to my utter shock and surprise it does actually allow you to format the primary HDD. There was no warning about the fact that I was trying to format the primary HDD. Please look at attached screen captures.
