Software to clone multiple drives from one source?

Thread needs solution

Hi!

I know that there is software that can clone multiple drives over a network for admin work but is there any version of this software that can clone a source drive to numerous sata drives all on one machine?

Basically I would like to build my own low cost duplicator for boot disks. We receive larger lots of PC's from universities where the hard drives are wiped and I need to reload windows and the proper drivers. It would be great to get one machine reloaded with drivers and then clone it to the other drives in batches. It would save tons of time loading the systems one at a time.

Anyone have any ideas if the software is available to do this using the onboard sata connection on the motherboard or using a raid card?

Thanks for the input!
Phil

Using True Image, you could make a master OS installation on a drive, and perform a disk image backup to an external drive. You then could install as many SATA drives as you wish, and then restore the image from the backup to each of the drives in the system, one after the other (no way to batch it), while booted to the Rescue Media (CD/DVD/USB Flash drive).

If you decide to do this, be sure not to let the system attempt to boot into windows until only one drive is still connected.

If you leave multiple restored drives in the system, one or more of them will no longer be bootable when installed on their own.

Another issue you may face is licensing.
For each hard disk you restore the image to, you would need a license to do so.
