[solved]cannot install disk director suite

Hi all

I am in the process of attempting to upgrade from disk director suite 102160 to 102239
I have downloaded it several times now however I am having problems installing. The first 2 downloads from the acronis.uk site failed to run with no obvious error messages, the 3rd download from the acronis.com site started the installation but complains of corrupt cab files.
I am currently attempting another download.
does anyone have some ideas please ?

What OS are you using (including Service Pack level)?

Is the UK version the same as the US English version? Filename DiskDirectorSuite10.0.2239_s_en.exe and MD5 of 4644d62d08b6a5556723035bfe37a15e for build 2,239. Size: 73.1 MB (76,719,984 bytes)

Otherwise, since you've downloaded several times, do the MD5 values and sizes match? If not, you're getting a corrupt download.

MD5's check out ok from the acronis.com but not the .uk so possibly part of problem

using winxp sp3 up to date as of today.

The file with the good MD5 checksum gives the following error part way through install

The file 95b7d569372c76e3a1c29abf8349cdb0 cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in file "data1.cab" this could indicate a network error, an error reading from the cd rom, or a problem with this package.

this is six download attempts Have tried in an alternate browser just in case am now going to try on a different pc.

Hi all

Managed to solve this looked like my registry was corrupt, I ran a registry check from ccleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/

it found a load of errors and removed them , and I have now successfully installed DD
