Splitting Merged Drives

So I was using the Acronis DD to recover some files from a deleted partition but i merged my partitions after deleting one of them, this brings me to the issue of it not detecting the deleted partition because its merged with a healthy one, i was wondering if i should use the Split disk option from acronis or if there is a better way to go about splitting my drive (like reversing my merge).

Im on a windows 7 computer
Asus Laptop 64 bit
