Has the error described in KB 16063 (SidebySide errors in Eventlog due to mismatched version of Microsoft.VC80.CRT in BartPE) ever been solved? If YES, where can I find the fix (not the work-around of zipping up the BartPE folder). If NO, does anyone know the status of this problem?

This issue is not fixed yet, and unfortunately we don't have ETA regarding when this will be fixed. Development is planning to improve it in the future build.

No - this error does not cause serious problems. I simply zipped up the folder as suggested in the KB article.
I stumbled across this error while trying to track down a BSOD and the event log always listed this error around the time of my crashes.
After I zipped up the WinPE folder, the crashes continue but the SidebySide errors no longer appear in the event log.
Thus, the SidebySide errors were merely a 'red herring' that slightly complicated my trouble shooting process.
