trying to uninstall Disk Director Home 11, Acronis OS Selector has not found any hard disk drives

Thread needs solution

Windows 10 1809 (17763.316) upgraded from windows 7, Disk Director 11 Home was not flagged as would not run under windows 10. Now trying to remove Disk Director 11 and as an article suggested, tried the install OS Selector to uninstall OS Selector. That process or just attempting uninstall Disk Director from settings, cause the pop up

and the installation cancels itself. I had not installed the OS Selector, but the Acronis OS Selector activator services is present and set to automatic startup. I found articles referring to true_image_home_cleanup.exe and downloaded it. True Image 2019 Build 14690 and its universal restore are installed, so I am booting to make a standalone backup before trying the cleanup option. Any gotchas to be aware of? The "use cleanup" article also recommend manually checking for leftover filters in certain registry keys.

And the downloaded trueimagehomecleanup.zip fails with a not supported operating system version.

Acronis Clean Up Utility 2.0

# Checking Windows version...
# Wrong Windows version detected.
# Press "Enter" to close the tool.

Any suggestions?

The MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab can get past the OS Selector and may let me reinstall DD11 to uninstall it cleanly.

This was just posted in another thread and sounds like it could resolve uninstall issues from older versions of DD
