Unable to get free space from USB hard disk

Thread needs solution

I'm running Disk Director Server 10 on windows 2003 server, one of the hard disk is running low on space. I intend to get the free space from the USB hard disk. When disk director ask me which partition to take the free space from, the usb hard disk is not shown.

Is it possible to get the free space from a USB hard disk?

thanks and regards,

Hello  choy wai giat,

Thank you for finding time to report about the issue, I will be glad to shed the light onto the situation.

Unfortunately enlargening the drive is possible only within one physical drive. Thus it's impossible to enlarge the C: drive by cutting the space from the USB drive.

If the USB drive is not shown within the product, please let us know the following details:

  1. Do you perform the operation from CD or from Windows?
(If from Windows, please try the bootable media for testing purposes)
  2. Acronis Report from the problem machine with the USB drive attached.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
