Unable to paste DD 11-2121 s/n in Install window
Hello-I attempted to install DD 11-2121 from my account.I attempted to paste via cntrl/paste and manually entering the s/n and received the incorrect s/n in both cases. I observed that the serial number's font was too large to be entered in the required space in each case. After entering 6 sets of the 8 sets required, there was no space for the other two sets. During my manual entry attempt,I checked each set for correctness and found everything ok. I countinued to the six set and could not enter the last two sets. When I attempted the ctrl/c or ctrl/v method,It appeared that all 8 sets were installed but I coulc not see all eight sets.
I re-installed TI 11 by installing the s/n manually without problems. It was necessary for me to re-install both programs because a registry cleaner corrupted some files and I had to perform a custom installation (clean) of Win 7 Home Premium upgrade sp1.If anyone knows how to correct this problem, please let me know. Thanks.

Hello dev-anon-Thanks for the reply. I might be in error in using the same number for DD & TI. I should be using whatever applies to DD ver 2121.One possible cause of my problem could be caused by parts of previous entrys being left in the S/N entry window. I removed some leftovers on several occassions but I still received an incorrect s/n error message whether I used the hightlight,ctrl-v , ctrl-c or manual S/N entry methods. Using the manual entry method uses a font size that allows only 6 sets of the 8 set S/N to be entered in the S/N window. This happened before but I was finally able to manually install the S/N after deleting all previous entries. This time,I am not getting the font size that allows all eight S/N sections to be entered in the S/N window.

Hello-After posting the previous post,I attempted 4 times to enter the S/N via ctrl-v and ctrl-c without success. I verified that no partial s/n was left in the s/n window first. After being unable to enter the s/n by these methods,I attempted to enter it manually. This time,I ignored the fact that there was no space for entering the last two sets of the 8 set s/n. I continued entering the s/n in spite of the fact that I could not see what I was entering. My entry was not accepted. I deleted the middle part of the s/n and was able to see what I had entered in the last two sets. I corrected the last set and corrected the sets that I removed via BACKSPACE.I attempted again and I received the same errror message.I wish to re-install DD11 on my computer via my account because I want to install the latest update. I have emer disk of both DD11 and TI2011 and I can make changes to partitions via the DD11 emergency disk but I cannot add the update to the emergency disk. Thanks-Carl.

Are you absolutely sure you're using the correct serial number? Have you retrieved it from your Acronis Account?
Are you using a non-standard font or DPI setting in Windows? It's normal for it not to fit even when using the normal settings. With custom settings maybe it's more problematic.

Hello-I will check my font. I am positive that I have the correct s/n because I select it from my DD11 file from my account. However,I suspect at least part of the problem in copy and paste is that I am not using the procedure correctly. I should clear out any remaining s/n first. Hightlight the DD11 s/n,press ctrl/c,click in the space for s/n and press ctrl/v. Is this correct?

That's correct. Make sure the SN box is completely empty before pasting.
Are you copying it directly from the text file that gets opened in Notepad? If copying from a Word file or something like that there may be problems if the hyphens get converted to a different character (it looks almost identical on the screen, but has a different code value).

I am copying it directly from the text file(notepad) and was able to insert the s/n.However,a message stated that I was requesting an upgrade and enter the s/n. I entered the DD11 s/n which was not accepted.I am not trying to update DD11. I am attempting to download/install DD11 from my account. I attached the s/n that I am attempting to use for downloading/installing DD11. I have another attachment pertaining to the error but I can only include one attachment. Thanks.

You shouldn't post your serial number on the forum. Please remove it from your post.
If you enter the SN and it asks for another SN, you are using an upgrade SN for DD. You would need to enter your DD 10 SN for the second number. Do you have DD 10 also?

Hello Mudcrab-I deleted the s/n from both the forum and my document file. Thanks. I have DD10 listed in my account and a cd. I will perform this task asap. Thanks.
